Watching those faerie lights flying around my bed
Tracing friendly forms
The other kids in the orphanage cannot seem to see
The one who’s watching me

She flickers in the twilight
Whisper in my ear many times
Gently speaking simple lines             
A little rhyme…….

Stum - stum - stumble around
Humble lost humble found
Beg a penny leave a pound
Never break this spell

Thought I saw starry lights floating above my head
Hazy like a dream
At the playground the other kids are shouting along with me
Away we hide and seek

I can’t keep from singing
Who’s that girl just leaving? Run to hide
Still I hum the tune inside another time
Just one last time…..
